Reg Foucar-Szocki is a professor and Hospitality Management Program Director in the Hart School of Hospitality, Sport, and Recreation Management at James Madison University. Reg started his career as a Hospitality Professor at the State University if New York at Buffalo. He went on to be the professor and founding director of the Food Systems Management program at Syracuse University. Reg has been a professor at James Madison University since 1989. In 2012, Reg was awarded the Lifetime Academic Achievement Award from Michigan State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management. In 2014, Reg was awarded the Howard B. Meek Award from ICHRIE. An honor that recognizes an individual's lifetime contributions and outstanding service both to hospitality education and to International CHRIE.
As he has continued his service to ICHRIE and NENA supporting and mentoring colleagues, and moving the association to new directions, on behalf of NENA, we are proud to honor Reg as this year’s Legacy Lecturer.
